IPTV player for Android TV
OndalyTV turns your M3U playlist or Xtream Codes account into television that works with the remote: channel list with now and next, a programme guide, films and series with posters. This page explains how to install it on an Android TV or Google TV set, and on Android phones and tablets.

What you need
- An Android TV or Google TV set or box with Android 9 or later (it also runs on Android phones and tablets).
- Your own playlist: an M3U / M3U8 address or an Xtream Codes account from your provider. OndalyTV includes no channels or content.
- A few minutes and the remote.
Install it with Downloader (the easiest way)
OndalyTV is installed from its APK file, outside the Play Store. On a television the simplest way is the free Downloader app:
- On the television, open Google Play, search for "Downloader" (by AFTVnews) and install it.
- Open Downloader and type this address in its URL box: ondaly.tv/android
- The APK downloads. When Android asks whether Downloader may install apps, allow it: Settings opens on that switch, turn it on and press Back.
- Press Install, then Open.
Other ways to install the APK
- From a USB stick: download OndalyTV-android.apk on your computer from the download section, copy it to the stick and open it on the television with a file manager.
- On a phone or tablet: open ondaly.tv in the browser, download the Android APK and open it. The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from the browser.
First launch
OndalyTV opens on the "Add a playlist" screen. Choose M3U, Xtream Codes, Jellyfin / Emby or Plex and type your details; the step-by-step guide for playlists is in How to add an M3U or Xtream Codes playlist (link below).
If you just want to see how it works first, press "Try a demo playlist": three channels with a guide, two films and a series, all freely licensed material that you can remove afterwards.
Made for the remote
- The arrows move between channels, categories and buttons; OK opens; Back goes back one step.
- On a live channel, up and down change channel, OK shows the controls and the remote's play, pause and skip keys work too.
- Settings › General › Interface size makes text bigger or smaller if the set is far away or very close.
- Settings › Playback lets you choose the player for live TV, films and series: Automatic (recommended), the television's own player (ExoPlayer), VLC or Compatibility.
Updates and plans
When there is a new version, Settings › About › Check for updates downloads and installs it; your playlists and settings stay.
