IPTV and Xtream Codes player for Windows 11 and 10
OndalyTV is an IPTV player for Windows 10 and 11 with a television-style interface: live channels with a programme guide, films and series with posters and synopses, recordings and subtitles that sync themselves. You bring your own M3U playlist or Xtream Codes account.

Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- About 400 MB of disk space.
- Your own M3U / M3U8 playlist or Xtream Codes account. OndalyTV includes no channels or content.
Microsoft Store or installer?
- Microsoft Store (apps.microsoft.com/detail/9P1S8972X7V4): installs with one click, with no security warning, and the Store keeps it updated.
- Installer from ondaly.tv: the same app, updated by itself in the background. Useful on PCs without the Store.
- Both use the same account and licence, and your playlists work the same in either.
Install it
- Download the Windows installer from the download section (OndalyTV-Setup.exe).
- Open it. The installer is not signed with a code-signing certificate yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC": click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
- Choose where to install it and finish. It installs for your user only, without administrator rights, and adds shortcuts to the desktop and the Start menu.
Add your playlist
On first launch OndalyTV asks for a playlist: an M3U address or your Xtream Codes server, user and password. The full guide, with the programme guide (EPG) and common errors, is in How to add an M3U or Xtream Codes playlist (link below). To try it first, press "Try a demo playlist".
Xtream Codes on Windows 11 in three steps
- Open OndalyTV and, on the first screen (or in Settings › Sources › Add a Source), choose Xtream Codes as the type.
- Type the server address your provider gave you (with http:// and the port, for example http://example.com:8080), your username and your password.
- Save: channels, guide, films and series load by themselves, sorted in their categories.
What it plays
- Live channels in HLS (m3u8) and MPEG-TS, films and episodes in MP4, MKV and other common formats.
- When Windows cannot decode the video or the sound — HEVC/H.265, MPEG-2, interlaced TV channels, Dolby Digital (AC-3/E-AC-3), DTS, TrueHD — or a file fails to decode, the built-in FFmpeg converts it on the fly (on the graphics card when it can) instead of showing an error.
- Picture subtitles (PGS/DVD) inside files are not shown on Windows; text ones are.
- Only on Windows: recordings of live channels, subtitles that sync themselves to the dialogue, and picture-in-picture.
Mouse, keyboard or remote
- It works with the mouse and with the keyboard: arrows to move, Enter to open, Esc to go back, F11 for full screen.
- Watching live TV, up and down change channel; in any video the space bar pauses, and O opens the options (speed, aspect ratio, sleep timer).
- Settings › General › Interface size scales everything if you use it on a big screen from the sofa.
Updates
New versions download in the background and install when you close the app. Your playlists, favourites and settings stay where they were.
