The media player for the playlist you already have

No. OndalyTV is media player software, in the same family as VLC. It opens the M3U or Xtream Codes playlist you get from your own provider. We do not sell, host, link to or recommend channels, playlists or any other content, and Premium only unlocks features of the app.

Playlists: M3U / M3U8 from a link, or opened from a file on Windows, phones and tablets; Xtream Codes logins; and the films and series on your own Jellyfin, Emby or Plex server. Streams and files: HLS, MPEG-TS, MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI and more, with H.264, HEVC/H.265, MPEG-2, VP9 or AV1 video and AAC, MP3, Dolby (AC-3/E-AC-3), DTS or TrueHD audio. On Windows, what the system cannot play by itself (HEVC, MPEG-2, interlaced channels, Dolby, DTS, TrueHD, or a file that fails to decode) is converted on the fly by the built-in FFmpeg, on the graphics card when it can. On Android, Automatic tries the device’s own player (hardware decoding, Dolby decoded or passed through to your TV or soundbar), then the built-in VLC engine, then a compatibility mode that only converts the audio; you can choose one in Settings › Playback, and the video is never re-encoded. Subtitles: text tracks inside the file (SRT, ASS/SSA, WebVTT) and external SRT/VTT files everywhere; picture subtitles (PGS, DVD, DVB) on Android only.

In the Windows app, when you enable a subtitle track, it analyses a few minutes of the dialogue and cross-correlates it with the subtitle timings. It corrects the offset and any frame-rate drift, and you can re-run it with the S key. On Android you shift subtitles by hand, for free.

Not to watch Live TV. An account (just your e-mail, no password) is needed for Premium: it links your purchase to the device you are using.

With Premium, yearly or lifetime, you link up to 5 devices to your account (phone, TV, tablet or computer, on Windows, macOS or Android) and watch Premium content on 2 at the same time. Devices stay linked: nobody pushes you off one. To add a sixth, you choose which one to unlink (up to 3 times every 30 days). If it is already being watched on another device, the app tells you and you can wait or move playback to yours. Live TV is free and does not count.

Cancel from the app: Settings › Account & Plan › Cancel subscription. Premium stays until the end of the paid period and you are not charged again. The receipt e-mail from Freemius, our reseller, also has a link to manage the subscription. The yearly plan renews every year until you cancel it; lifetime is a one-off payment with nothing to cancel. To delete your account entirely, use Delete my account on the same screen.
